6th-12th GRADE FELLOWSHIP- Sunday, September 27th
How high can you climb?!? After we eat lunch at church, we’re going to Adventure Rock (adventurerock.com) in Pewaukee to try our hand (and feet) at rock climbing. Instructors will be on hand to go over the proper way to wear a harness, basic safety and climbing techniques and then lots of climbing. You should wear comfortable clothes you can move in and tennis shoes. The fee for the event is $15 per person and includes lunch. Please sign up and take a permission form packet from the youth bulletin board. Friends are welcome! Sign up no later than Wednesday, September 23rd- you can call or email.
TURTLE APPLE & PRETZEL MAKING – Saturday, October 3rd
On Saturday, October 3rd, we will meet at noon for a quick pizza lunch and then work on making the turtle apples and pretzels. The more people we have the quicker this will go so make sure to sign up by Wednesday, September 30th! If anyone is available, we can go pick up the refrigerator that was donated to the youth program too.
SERVICE SATURDAY - Saturday, October 3rd
This month we will spend our Service Saturday at Emmanuel Church setting up for the harvest brunch. Help is needed getting tables and chairs set up, putting out room decorations (by the way, this year it’s all about the cow) and making some food preparation. We’ll meet at 4pm for about an 1 to 1 ½ hours. Sign up on the youth board by September 30th. I know lots of you need this type of volunteer time for school and other activities so don’t be afraid to sign up!!
4th-12th GRADE YOUTH FELLOWSHIP – Sunday, October 4TH
You are invited to share in the Harvest Brunch by eating together as a group. Tickets are $4 for kids 6-12 and $6 for youth 13-17.
YOUTH COUNCIL MEETING – October 5th
At our meeting on Monday, October 5th at 6:00pm we will finalize our winter break activities, and begin to look at spring activities as well as discuss summer mission trip locations, out reach projects, and fund raisers. Any youth in 6th thru 12th grade or adults who would like to be a part of shaping the lives of our young people are invited to attend.
SIX FLAGS FRIGHT FEST – Saturday, October 17th
On Saturday, October 17th, youth in 6th-12th grade will make their way down to Six Flags in Gurnee, IL for Fright Fest. Youth must sign up on the youth board by Sunday, October 4th and the fee for this event is $50 payable at sign up. Youth should plan to bring spending money for food and other stuff at the park. We’ll pack a ghoulish picnic lunch to share. Adults are needed so please sign up even if you don’t like roller coaster rides.
INSOMNIAC 2009 – Friday, October 30th –Saturday, October 31st This event is going to be twelve hours of non stop fun (to keep us all awake!) We’ll meet at church on Friday, October 30th at 7PM and youth can be picked up at church on Saturday, October 31st at 7AM. For a list of activities planned and places to be visited, see the youth bulletin board. Youth are asked to bring a snack to share and $5-10 toward breakfast. Make sure you have your family permission form in and invite some friends! Adult chaperones are needed – PLEASE! Sign up by Sunday, October 25th.
9th – 12th Grade SENIOR HIGH CONVO – Friday, November 13 thru Sunday, November 15th
Last day to sign up is October 25th!!!!
