Carly Kuntz,
Lead Pastor

Carly was born and raised in Baraboo, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school she earned a music education degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She taught elementary music for one year in Barneveld and five years in Beaver Dam. Following a life long calling, she moved to Evanston, Illinois in 1981 and graduated from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1985. Since then, she has served United Methodist churches in southeastern and northwestern Wisconsin. Carly was pleased to be appointed to Emmanuel Community in June 2002. She loves sharing ministry with the people at Emmanuel and plans to stay for a very long time.

When asked what she does in her job, Carly replied, "I am called to share religious authority. In other words, it is my job to help each person, each group and the congregation name, claim and live their call to ministry in our world."

Her duties with the congregation include:
• Helping name and shape the congregation's vision for ministry.
• Preaching and Worship Leadership
• Teaching
• Administration
• Caring for the pastoral needs of members.
• Staff Development
• Community Outreach

In addition to serving the church, Carly enjoys movies, Brewer baseball, office toys, reading, sports, friends, her cats and going to Disney World.
