Every committee is considered to be part of the ministry team of Emmanuel Community United Methodist Church. Persons are asked to serve on committees by our Nominations Committee which meets each year to fill positions being vacated by those whose terms have been fulfilled.  Most positions are filled for a three year term.  These service opportunities are a wonderful way to get acquainted with other members and to be involved in the actual decision making process within the church. Speak with any of the pastors if you have an interest in serving.

  • Administrative Council- governing board of the congregation.  Business of the other committees is approved through this board.
  • Staff-Parish Relations Committee – human relations
  • Finance Committee – financial overseers
  • Board of Trustees – buildings and grounds keepers
  • AV-Tech Committee – technological upkeep and upgrades
  • Nominations Committee – seeks persons to serve on committees
  • Foundation– oversees distribution of funds from bequests
  • Marketing Committee – focuses creating connections with potential new members and enhancing connections with existing members
  • Mission Committee – provides opportunities for and support mission outreach both local and worldwide
  • Memorials – oversees distribution of funds from memorial gifts to the church
  • Music/Worship Committee – oversees music selection and schedules groups for the various services, making worship more effective at connecting people to God and each other
  • Stewardship – conducts the annual stewardship (pledge) campaign
  • Chldren’s Ministries – oversees all aspects of education opportunities for children
  • Outreach Team – helps the church focus on outreach
  • Green Team – inspires and ignites a green passion for stewardship of God’s creation in the church and community
