We have a unique opportunity here at Emmanuel to have a variety of ways in which you can develop and share your musical talents. If you enjoy singing a wide range of music from gospel to classical with a good dose of laughter and fellowship thrown in, these groups are for you.
Men's, Women's, and Chancel Choirs need YOU! more>>
The Chancel choir is our lead choir open to all people from 8th grade on up and is a fun filled and rewarding 4 part mixed choir that adds to the worship experience, singing weekly, and alternating between the 9:00 and 10:30 services. The choir will explore a number of different musical styles and texts and rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 in the music room. The Chancel choir season runs from late August to early June. We will sing for special services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and also for funerals as needed. The “All Choir Sunday” services before Christmas and on Easter are an opportunity for us to sing bigger musical numbers with other musical groups such as brass and bell choirs and the choir dinner show in the fall is an optional event that is fun and rewarding. Men’s and Women’s Choir
The Women’s choir sings 3-4 part treble and the Men’s choir sings 3-4 part music voiced music from a variety of styles and will sing for worship every 4-5 weeks and will alternate between the 9:00 am and 10:30 am service. The choirs will rehearse for 45 minutes on Thursday evenings and will alternate the start time from one week to the next. One week it will start at 6:00 pm and the next week it will start at 6:45 pm. As with the chancel choir, this group is open to all men and women from 8th grade on up.
