Susan Haller, RN, BSN,
Parish Nurse

Susan grew up in a suburb outside Chicago, and then moved to Wisconsin where she attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is married to Tom and they have a 13 year old son Ryan who is looking forward to high school next year. Together, as a family, they are all active members of the Emmanuel Community United Methodist Church community.

As a registered nurse, Susan brings many years of patient care experience in community and clinical settings; serving infants, mothers, children, youth, adults and families. She also has a passion for ministry and Susan is presently enrolled in the Master's program for Pastoral Care and Counseling at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, pursuing Deacon's orders to enhance her ministry as a parish nurse.

"As I look back, I can see evidence of my faith journey interwoven throughout the events of my life, and it seems I have always had an awareness of God's presence in the world. As a parish nurse, I feel honored to have the opportunity to share with others the strength, hope and wisdom that only the grace of our Lord can provide as we go about the joys and struggles of our daily lives."

Susan is currently an active member of the ministry team here at Emmanuel church, responsible for developing ministries of health and healing within our congregation, and out in our community.

For more information about Susan's role as Parish Nurse, please see our Health and Healing Ministries page.
