Children's Ministries
“Let the little children come to me; do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.”

At Emmanuel Community UMC, we recognize the important place children have in the life and ministry of the church. Our goal is to provide a solid foundation upon which they can begin to build their faith lives together. We encourage their participation and offer a number of opportunities throughout the year to make this possible.
Children’s Market Place and Sundae Sunday
9:30 AM Sunday morning (early to mid-February)
Enjoy a brownie sundae as you shop for homemade gifts handcrafted by our children and youth. All proceeds from this event benefit the Blessings in a Backpack program, our children’s mission project.
Children’s Christmas Program
8:30 AM & 10:30 AM in Celebration Hall (mid-December)
Experience the wonder of Christmas through the eyes of children on this special Sunday. Children of all ages along with Emmanuel Community’s two children’s choirs will lead worship with their musical production in Celebration Hall.
Vacation Bible School
Monday through Thursday (mid- to late-June)
Join your church friends as we welcome families from our community for this annual outreach event. Crafts, games, music, Bible stories, adult discussion groups, nursery care, T-shirts, and dinner are free each night.
Club 4/5
10:30 AM third Sundays (September through May)
Explore our introduction to youth ministries, which is open to older children (4th – 5th grade). Activities are planned and led by parents with the assistance of the Children’s Ministries team.
