Special Giving

There are many times when things happen in our lives and in the life of the church that are not expected.  Special gifts are our response to appeals for a one-time gift.

One kind of special gift is to support a special project or new ministry not already included in the church’s annual budget.  This could be anything from a first-time event like a retreat to a capital expense like replacing an HVAC unit.  It might also include funds raised for Habitat for Humanity, UMCOR Disaster Relief, or another mission opportunity.

Another kind of special gift is a memorial gift donated in memory of a loved one.  The donor or family often designates these gifts for a special purpose.  They are held in our Memorial Fund until used.
